BELLUNO, ITALY (OCTOBER 12, 2022) – Emerson (NYSE: EMR), will showcase its latest electronic technologies for control and monitoring in the retail and food service industries at Chillventa 2022 in Nuremberg, Germany. From 11 to 13 October, Emerson will present its innovative and connective solutions focused on efficiency, sustainability, and food preservation.

Food Service Data Management Cloud: optimized food preservation for hotels, restaurants, cafés, ice-cream & pastry shops, farm food shops and small food stores

Emerson’s platform for centralized plant management, the Dixell Food Service Data Management Cloud, is a an easy-to-use web-based application solution for hotels, restaurants, cafés, ice-cream & pastry, farm food shops and small food stores. A simple IoT gateway installation in new and existing stores can connect Emerson electronic controllers (refrigerated cabinets, counters, etc.) to this cloud platform. Once connected, data is retrieved from the assets and transferred over a Wi-Fi network, enabling customers to benefit from pre-defined services according to their needs.

Optimized food preservation for the food industry and improved energy efficiency are enabled through collecting and storing necessary data for Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) evaluation and the alarm notifications of the connected refrigerated cabinets. The remote control helps to ensure that qualified staff is able to intervene on every cabinet if maintenance or parameter changes are required.

XER controllers: flexible and optimized solution for every kind of cold rooms

Emerson’s XER controllers are a new solution for the optimized management of all kinds of cold rooms in the retail and food service industries, from a small shop to a restaurant, from a supermarket to a large storage center. This new generation of controllers improves installation flexibility and safety, allowing the choice of models with circuit breakers or residual current circuit breakers. The user interaction with these controllers is intuitive thanks to their high visibility display and innovative alarm frame. Its big and flat buttons and a quick parameter search method that speeds up commissioning operations.

The XER controllers help customers with sustainability goals by enabling reduced power consumption, pollution and gas emissions through optimized regulation and load control features, such as the automatic light control, prompt warnings of refrigerant losses, and homogeneous temperature maintenance inside the cold room to help protect food storage and safety.

The XER controllers are compatible with the Dixell Food Service Data Management Cloud service, allowing users to remotely access data on a cloud platform through common mobile devices.

XH78T controller: full touch controller for hanging rooms, aging and ice cream display cases

Emerson’s innovative XH78T controller is designed to answer most application needs that require temperature and humidity regulation, such as hanging and aging rooms and ice cream display cases. The XH78T has a modern design, ultra-wide display and the capacitive touch user interface with full touch technology. Its high-performance hardware includes several functions specially developed to optimize energy consumption, temperature and humidity regulation (five different modes) to help food preservation and waste reduction.

The XH78T controller is compatibile with low GWP refrigerants, provides advanced management of variable speed fans, and dimmable lights management. It can also manage the extractor fan, enabling timed sanitization cycles and controlling evaporator and condenser fans through independent regulators.

The XH78T is fully compatible with the Dixell Food Service Data Management Cloud service, allowing users to remotely access data on a cloud platform through common mobile devices.

XeCO2 system: optimized efficiency management

Environmental regulations and corporate sustainaility targets have set the stage for wider adoption of CO2 in commercial refrigeration. Emerson’s XeCO2 system is a complete solution for the retail industry to help optimize efficiency management of CO2 plants. The system includes a wide range of high efficiency controllers, connected and monitored over one platform.

The XeCO2 system ensures work safely with overfeed evaporators optimizing the CO2 plant management and includes:

  • High performance multiplexed cabinet controllers (Dixell XM600)
  • Advanced controlling and monitoring systems (Dixell XWEB PRO)

  • Controller platform for transcritical booster racks (Dixell iProRACK)

The synchronization among these assets results in a safer system; advanced regulation algorithms and system logics address food preservation, providing a single-entry point for the installer, service and energy manager with a complete and wide range of high efficiency electronic controllers suitable for all types of cabinets.
